Soracom Receives Good Design Award
We recently learned that the Soracom IoT communications platform has been selected as a 2016 recipient of the Good Design Award. This award is administered by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion, and since its introduction in 1957 has come to be recognized as a hallmark of design excellence in Japan and throughout east and south Asia.
The Good Design Award seeks to highlight and celebrate good design across all fields of human endeavor, from automotive and agriculture to software and services. The Soracom team is honored that, in reviewing a field of over 4,000 entries, the selection committee was able to recognize the design elegance of a communications platform intended not to be seen or touched but to help the things around us connect and communicate.
For Soracom, this award is especially meaningful because the Good Design Award is intended specifically to promote design that helps to enrich human life today while paving the way for “the society of the future.” This objective aligns closely with our own mission, which is to make it easy for things to connect in order to pave the way to a more connected future world.
By enhancing communications infrastructure with cloud-native tools and technology, we are helping companies and individuals bring their most innovative connected experiences to life. While our greatest reward is to see our customers and partners succeed, we are honored to receive this recognition for helping to expand the scope of IoT with a connectivity platform that balances exceptional capability with exceptional ease of use.
